The St. Petersburg Charity New Year's Marathon "Bright Angel" 16.12.2019
On the eve of the New Year, the St. Petersburg charity project, the "Bright Angel" New Year's Marathon, is launching for the third time. Its goal is to bring the most magical of holidays to children who, due to health reasons, are unable to leave their hospital wards and attend the Christmas tree. The "Bright Angel" New Year's Marathon is organized by the "When You Are Needed" Charitable Foundation in partnership with the Mikhail Bazhenov Foundation, AURORA, and with the support of the Adamant Holding Company and Konditer-Service.
Starting on December 16, a theater bus will begin operating between hospitals treating children with severe illnesses, primarily oncological ones. It will transport the cast of one of St. Petersburg's best children's theaters, the Karlsson Haus Theater, whose performances have repeatedly won the highest theater award, the Golden Mask. The project's unique feature is that the children will see a New Year's performance, specially staged for an unusual space, tailored to the specific needs of the venue and audience, unlike typical "matinees."
After each performance, Father Frost will congratulate the young patients and present them with gifts from the program's partners. These gifts will include not only sweets and drinks, but also useful and engaging items that will brighten their everyday life in the hospital.
